Gambling Corner 8/4

Welcome back! I took a small hiatus while I was out of town this weekend for a wedding. We’re back in action though with a four game play tonight.

Indians -168

Shane Bieber. Nothing more needs to be said. Biebs put up 8 strong innings with only three hits and thirteen strikeouts! He shutout the Twins who are a pretty strong offensive team. The Reds have won three straight but haven’t scored more than 4 runs so I expect them to be slowed down tonight.

White Sox/Brewers Under 8

With the season still being young, I’m going with a lot of the same plays that I made a week ago. Woodruff pitched a gem against the Pirates. Lucas Giolito is a nice young pitcher. The Brewers offense is 22nd in the league in runs. The only thing that scares me is the breakout potential of the White Sox. They’ve reached the total by themselves in two of the last three games.

Mets +134

The Mets actually provided Jacob DeGrom with some run support last night. On the other side, the Nationals haven’t played since Thursday due to the Marlins Covid breakout. I’m taking the underdog based on the rust factor and hoping that the Mets’ bats havent’t cooled off yet.

Suns +8.5

I think the Suns found something they like in the second half of the game against the Mavericks Sunday night. They really locked in on defense and shut down Doncic and Porzingis in the third quarter. The bench was able to contribute along with the big three of Booker, Rubio, and Johnson combining for 69 points. I don’t expect them to win but I see this being a close game until the end.
